Who We Are

Eric Schultz

Eric found his passion for developing people, teams, and organizations early in his career. Build up and build out is his mantra. His entry into the working world involved learning a field service trade from the ground up. By the age of twenty-one, Eric managed the operation of a multimillion-dollar company, having helped it to triple in size over three years. Since then, he has exited two of his own businesses successfully.

Eric gained a formal skill set for developing strategy which is made evident by his successful completion of the rigorous Strategic Management Graduate Certificate Program of Harvard University. Believing strategy without execution is worthless, he focuses on team building, talent identification, leadership development, and performance coaching.

Eric maintains the certifications of Gallup’s CliftonStrengths (StrengthsFinder), Gallup’s Builder Talents, DISC behaviors, Driving Forces, EQ, Acumen (Applied Axiology), Integrity Selling, and is also a Certified Growth Curve Specialist.

Eric takes the Journey Alliance core value of Happy and Healthy to heart. He enjoys creating adventures, especially outdoors, with his wife Margaret and children Trinity, Amiah, and Elijah. When not spending quality time with his family, Eric enjoys running, reading, and catching up with new and old friends over coffee.

Marc Pozzuoli

Marc has a 20-year track record of growing small businesses. Early in his career, he was employee #1 at a startup that grew to over $7M in annual revenue in a few short years. In this role, he led operations, technology, & customer service. More recently he was the vice president of information technology at a $100M national service organization.

Along the way, Marc participated in both buy and sell-side transactions and multiple successful team exits including a nearly $500M private equity deal.

Marc enjoys delving into the details and he deeply believes in Journey Alliance's core value of Productive Conflict. He will engage in difficult conversations and then is happy to disagree and commit.

Marc maintains the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute, is Scrum Master Certified (SMC), and is a Certified DevOps Leader.

He loves to cook for and entertain both friends and family. He is happiest with his wife Jenn and their daughter Arianna traveling to new destinations.

John Martin offers over 45 years of significant experience in the government, public, and nonprofit sectors as a retired navy officer, financial advisor, not-for-profit Executive Director, Business Administrator, and entrepreneur.

A 23-year career in the US Navy is foundational to John’s passion for leadership and service. Following his retirement as a Navy Commander, John continued to serve as a: Director and Vice-Chair of a Public Transit System; University Trustee and Board Chair; and board member of various organizations. A principal in four successful businesses, John has advised and mentored numerous business leaders.

Currently, a Principal in Logicboard, his expertise in leadership, board governance, strategic planning, and organizational development has helped businesses and nonprofits throughout the country.

Derek Roberts - CircleDEREK ROBERTS

Derek Roberts is President of the training and consulting firm, Roberts Business Group. He is also an Executive Partner with Integrity Solutions, a global training and performance development company. Derek is a professional speaker, author, and coach in the fields of leadership communication, sales, and employee engagement. As such, he works closely with executive leaders and their teams to create high-performance sales and service cultures that drive incredible customer loyalty and employee engagement.

He is co-author of the book "Be A Mindsetter" and lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife and their ten children.
